On the "Join this Group" page, there is a "Comment to Owner" ( "Please tell the owner why you would like to join the group") you must include the following, or your membership will be rejected:

1) Your first name
2) Your town and Zip Code (see list above)
3) The types of items you need to get rid of.

Information must be received within 48 hours or your subscription request will be denied.

Freecycle is a place for getting rid of stuff you would otherwise throw away, or a place to get "mostly worthless" items (such as eggshells or broken bottles) that other people might be throwing away.

This IS NOT a place to get big ticket items (ie cars, refirgerators, etc). Think of Freecycle as giving your trash to people instead of to landfills. :-) This particular list is for Wilmington, NC residents *only*.
