We've had this reliable Avante Elite convection/toaster oven for several years. Recently, one hinge broke and requires a little TLC to close the door, but the kids were able to manage it and still make their toast and heat their left overs, so it was usable. Then the hinge stuck over the weekend, leaving the door cracked several inches open. Hubby took advantage of the malfunction to order a new toaster oven. Meanwhile, 10 year old fiddled with hinge and unstuck it, making it once again a usable toaster oven with a broken hinge door. Oven works fine if you don't mind setting the door in place when closing it. Perhaps a little more fiddling could fix the hinge and then the oven will be without defect?!
