Welcome to the LibraryUK Freecycle group! This group covers all Libraries in the UK only
The Freecycle Network⢠is made up of %%total_num_groups groups with 103 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns and thus keeping good stuff out of landfills.
Membership is free, and everything posted must be FREE, legal and appropriate for all ages. To view the items being given away or sought in LibraryUK, you must be a member of the Library group. This group is an entirely new concept for members of the UK library sector only. Most groups are open to all members of a local community. This group is only open to UK accredited libraries and associated organisations. For this reason, each new member must be approved. Please apply with your organisation email address to help the moderators. This is where you can post items that you no longer require and don't have room to store -- you pick the recipient library. The recipient picks up the item when and where you want. You eliminate shipping costs, disposal fees and keep tons of good stuff out of the landfill. And this enables other libraries to leverage their capabilities by getting good free materials for their organization. A win-win if ever there were one. Tell your colleagues at other libaries. The more libaries participating, the better it is for all./p>
