Piano is a 1901 Schiller 54”, serial # 12767.
Solid, well made antique piano. Appraised for $300, yours for free if picked up. Copy of appraisal below:
An American piano made during a better era of piano building.
The Oak piano’s overall condition evidences both age and wear with a few water stains.
Retains its original ebony keys but the naturals have been replaced with plastic.
This piano also comes with its original 4-legged wrought iron stool.
The hammer & bridle straps have been replaced.
Piano evidenced a full tone with strong bass; and new hammers provide a certain warmth.
¾ plate with exposed bird’s eye maple pin block.
The bridges and soundboard are intact.
Bass strings are steel, but piano will hold tuning.
● Based upon up to date research and considering the age and variety of worn areas of this piano, I deem this piano’s current market value to be: $300
