IMPORTANT: Why don't I receive emails from Freecycle.org? - new
If you do not receive emails from Freecycle (other members or Moderator) is due to the fact that your email setting in Freecycle is set to 'none'. You have to change it to 'digest' in order to receive emails. You can change this at anytime should you status change and if you do not want to receive any more emails from anybody on Freecycle (members or Moderator).
You simply have to go to My Freecycle: http://my.freecycle.org/ 2. click the green 'My Groups' tab, 3. then under our group name click 'Change settings'. 4. Beside 'Email Preference', choose your desired setting. 5. Then click on 'Change Email Preferences' button.
If after this you still do not receive any Freecycle emails is either due to your email settings (which you have to change from your email address, whether is with Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc) or other settings you might have. Bear in mind this is not doable with certain email providers (according to some members) in which case you have to get a new email address (like Gmail etc).
Also read the 'Westminster Group rules' and learn that just like any other website, we have our rules or even borough rules set by each volunteer moderator: we do not allow double posting asking for the same item within 30 days just to be at the top of the 'wanted' list. Also we give preference to members from our borough over members from other boroughs/counties who post in multiple locations. Posting your request under general locations like 'London' or 'west London' or 'central London' is regarded as a non-borough member who asks for high value items in multiple boroughs, thus might have your request removed in order to give preference to our local borough members.
Everything should be very easy and straight forward so read these several 'admins' posted here or our FAQ if you still have basic questions related to how to remove/post an ad, add a picture or cancel your membership.
Have an Easy and Happy Freecycling time!!!
